Kinki Stones
discovers taste of stones.

Welcome to my microcosm of stone.
Creating micro-sculptures in stone is my “after-hours” hobby – a way to unwind, relax, and escape the daily hustle. Every pebble that comes into my hands becomes a partner in conversation, sharing its own story, which I try to capture in form.

It is not only art but also a wonderful exercise in patience and character, teaching precision, perseverance, and mindfulness in every detail. Every moment spent with a stone is a small journey for me, and the results of this work – though often tiny and subtle – bring immense satisfaction.

Most of the pebbles I use for my micro-sculptures I collect myself. I often wander through fields, glide along forest paths, and stroll along the beaches of the Baltic Sea.

Each stone has its own story, energy, and character – sometimes I immediately know what will emerge from the stone I’ve just picked up. Other times, I study it many times over before it “tells” me what it wants to become.

The process of collecting stones is just as important to me as the sculpture itself: these are moments spent in nature with family, discovering small, hidden beauties that often go unnoticed in everyday life.

My name is Karol Kin. For more than twenty years, I worked in the world of words and images — in magazine editing, behind the camera, and later in DTP. I enjoyed that work; it was a big part of my life, but I always felt that something was missing — something that would let me truly breathe.

At the age of forty, partly out of curiosity and partly from a need to step away from the computer screen, I picked up a rotary tool with a set of diamond bits. I just wanted to see if I could carve a simple shape in a stone. It turned out that I could — and that this small, innocent experiment opened the door to an entirely new passion.

Today, micro-sculpting is much more than a hobby for me. It’s a space where I can slow down, listen to myself and… to every pebble I find. It’s an adventure that began almost by accident, yet became one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

I strive to make my micro-sculptures not just for looking at, but also for wearing. Many of them take the form of pendants – small, subtle, and unique pieces that can accompany you in daily life, blending art with personal experience. Each sculpture-pendant is not only a miniature form but also an individual talisman. Something you can carry with you wherever you go.

Join me on a journey led by the stones themselves.
